About this piece

A satin mermaid wedding dress led by a soft draped cowl that slips off the shoulder, with fitted long sleeves. Underneath is a corset bodice with internal boning, and the low back laces up over a row of covered buttons. No lace, no appliqué, no embellishment. I sew every dress to order in my atelier in Kyiv.

  • Silhouette: fitted mermaid (fishtail) with a sweep train
  • Neckline: draped cowl, off the shoulder
  • Sleeves: fitted long sleeves
  • Bodice: corset with internal boning, structured natural waist
  • Back: low open back, lace-up corset over covered buttons
  • Train: sweep
  • Fabric: bridal satin with a subtle natural sheen
  • Embellishment: none

The cowl softens the neckline while the fitted mermaid line keeps the shape clean. At the back, the lace-up over covered buttons is the detail for your ceremony photos.

Made your way

  • Neckline: draped cowl, straight strapless or sweetheart
  • Train: sweep, chapel or cathedral, or none for a clean floor-length hem

Care

Hand wash in cool or lukewarm water with a mild detergent for up to 10 minutes; don't rub, wring or bleach. Hang to dry in the shade, away from direct sun, and not by the sleeves. Store flat in a fabric bag or garment box in a cool, dry place.
